How to Make your very own

 Catalytic Aroma Lamp

3 SIMPLE STEPS

1.  ADD just a few drops water into the plaster of paris to make consistency of toothpaste.

2.FILL tier piece with plaster paste.

3.  PLACE tier on your bottle opening.

Let dry about 30 minutes your DONE !

TAKE your tier piece with you when you go shopping at any retail variety store to get your perfect bottle. I suggest taking the screw pump off your dispenser and setting the tier piece on it to see if it fits if it is too tall then take a Dremmel Tool found at walmart or most retail hardware stores and cut neck of your bottle down to the height you want.

Just watch yourself you will forget what you went shopping for because your mind will be thinking what kinds of dispensers/bottles you can spot for that perfect diffuser lamp the you will custom make for yourself or family and friends as gifts.

You can use several types of dispensers such as soap/lotion type dispensers found in the bath sections of most stores, But I prefer the plant misters found in lawn and garden.. Some use beer bottles, wine bottles, vintage style lamps, perfume bottles, Avon bottles, the ideas are endless.

Making the lamp is the addicting part and it only takes 5 minutes from start to finish to complete the project.

Hi Nancy,

Thought this might be an idea your customers can use for 'make-it-yourself' lampe kits.  Finding a container with the perfect size opening that ALSO had a shoulder (to keep the crown setting at the correct height), wasn't that easy for me.  My clever husband said:  "how about a gasket of some kind"?  This is a simple piece of copper wire he soldered together.  EUREKA!

Thanks and hope this helps somebody!

Thank you Saundra for your helpful Hint!  I am just wondering if you would have used

a Mini Kit if the ring gasket would have been necessary?  If I ever get by a Pier One Import

that you said you purchased your bottle from I will get one and try a mini kit.

Thanks again for your helpful advise !  Nancy

One of my super clients sent me this email and wanted to share with everyone else !

This is a great idea, But I will still send the plaster to you with your kit

Another method to attach tier piece that one of my customers told me about It and I wanted to share with you. Jackie B - Is all excited by this method (no water involved just squeeze the tube).

Here are her words- QUOTE

"Hi Nancy...just wanted to let you know I am having such a good time making my lamps. I also wanted to tell you that instead of the powdered plaster of paris, I bought, at Home Depot, a tube of "PRE-MIXED CONCRETE PATCH for $2.97 and it is working perfectly for this application.

It comes in tubes like caulk would, but is made specifically for repairing cracks and breaks in concrete and mortar. The tube has a cap and is re-sealable and will last for a long time,

because you only need a small amount for the lamps.

If you want to mention this on your website for your customers, please feel free to do so.

Thank you, again...and I'll be back for more!

UPDATE !

This method also works great. You can also use a high heat glue you find in the automotive section of local stores or even Walmart type stores.

Jackie this works just great. Especially when working in bulk for my wholesale customers. They LOVE it.

Thank you Jackie for your TIP !
